Testimonials

Very Professional!

My husband and I were debating on having a videographer at our wedding and we decided to use the one that was offered with our DJ and Photobooth and let me just say, I am so glad I did! Franco was so great to work with the day of the wedding! He made the day less stressful and more enjoyable for Matthew and I! My husband hates being on camera and having photos taken and he STILL tells me about how he loved Franco and the way he filmed! I continue to get so many compliments from family and friends and I keep telling them about how great 617 is to work with! Franco added such organization to a hectic day and continued to “wow” me with his professionalism! Not once did I feel like he was a stranger, in fact, I felt like I knew him and he was part of our family! I cannot wait to see the video and see the true artistic work he was able to capture!

Absolutely amazing

Franco was our videographer and he was absolutely amazing as well!! He worked so hard the entire night to make sure to capture every moment of our day, even moving around the dance floor with all the guests! He was also able to work so easily with our photographer that you would’ve never known they never worked together. Franco was such a pleasure to work with and we can’t wait to see the final product!! Thank you Franco!!

Franco Valverde

Lead Filmmaker

A 20 year veteran filming weddings, Franco Valverde’s passion and joy for filmmaking is displayed in his films. Franco filmed his first wedding as a sophomore at Lynn Tech when the school dean noticed his love for the trade and asked him to capture his wedding. Since then he knew filming weddings was something he wanted to do. Franco has also assisted some of New England’s best wedding photographers and honed his skills behind the lens from a different perspective. Wedding Filmmakers usually capture what’s happened compared to photographers who are more hands on. Franco is able to be unobtrusive yet create shots in an instant.

One of the most important thing a filmmaker needs is situational awareness! Who is who, where is everyone and what is happening. You can count on Franco to be everywhere he needs to be when he needs to be there. What’s Franco’s favorite thing about weddings? He has FUN. He loves what he does, he loves people and he always has a smile on his face. Franco is here for you, the bride and groom. He makes sure he works as a team with all your vendors; Photographer, DJ and venue coordinator to make sure your wedding day is flawless.

When Franco isn’t filming weddings he spends his times with his two young boys. You can catch them at the beach, movies or just shopping at the mall. Franco was born in Costa Rica and emigrated to the USA at 3. He served 4 years in The Massachusetts Army National Guard as an infantryman and received and Honorable Discharge from 1-182 infantry regiment.

Bruno Depina

Filmmaker

Hey everyone, my name is Bruno. I am a natural light creative cinematographer with a unique storytelling artistic style.

I was born in Portugal but grew up in Boston. Having a camera around my neck was a must since high school. Yes, I was that kid with the camera taking photos and videos of everything and anything. While building my photography portfolio, I discovered my love for videography and have since produced, directed, edited, and filmed music videos, commercials, infomercials, and documentaries.

I now specialize in wedding cinematography for 617 Weddings and I absolutely LOVE my job!

How did you get started shooting videos?

I’ve always loved photo and video!  I began creating formal videos because of a friend that was in the real estate business. He really liked the photos I produced for him through the years and as he grew with his agency, property photos just couldn’t justify the massive properties he was selling. I created my first real estate video and I was honestly fell in love with the process. I loved the way that you could see the properties and feel exactly as you felt at that moment when you first stepped foot in the house.

What is your favorite part of the wedding day?

My favorite part of the wedding is definitely the reception. At this moment everyone including the couples is at complete ease and sharing amazing stories amongst friends and family. Within the reception, the speeches and toasts are mainly what I really enjoy listening to.

Describe your style:

There are many ways to compose a wedding video. We can pose and stage the moment or capture the moment for what it is. My style of filmmaking is more candid. I like to keep couples and guests at ease rather than posing them at all times. I believe in order to capture the best moments, some things just have to flow naturally, and as a creative, create the best look for the moment.

One thing you should definitely know about me is that I am very easy to get along with. I love to laugh and make people smile. Sometimes I like to join everyone on the dance floor and do the Cha Cha Slide as well.

Brendan Reilly

Filmmaker

Hello world – my name is Brendan Reilly!

What got you started in filmmaking?

I started my career out as a writer because I love to tell stories. As technology started to improve and prices came down, I had amazing filmmaking gear and knowledge at my fingertips, and everything just made sense. Visual storytelling was what I was meant to do.

What’s your favorite part of the wedding day?

Favorite part of the day is a toss-up between filming the first look and that moment on the dance floor during the reception when you can feel everyone just cut loose, ready to dance like no one is watching.

Describe your style of filmmaking?

Cinematic. I don’t make wedding videos. I make wedding FILMS. I capture all the details, quiet moments shared between bride and groom, the way they hold hands, the way they look at each other, everything that makes their wedding and that day unique to their story as a couple.

One thing EVERYONE should know about you?

I’m damn good at what I do. I take pride in it, which means you’re guaranteed to both laugh and cry when you watch your wedding film.
